Zoom Zoom: The Growing Resurgence of Vespa Vogue
'Zoom Zoom: The Growing Resurgence of Vespa Vogue', taken from the August addition of the FCC Cambodia monthly newsletter 'The Wires'....
Well, a vespa is a damn cool toy, but I want to ask, how cool is balancing a broken down vespa and yourself in a cyclo being pushed through town to the mechanic in the hot afternoon sun.... Very cool for all the Khmers laughing at the silly barang girl and her silly, huge, old moto. Not so cool for said barang girl getting progressively sunburnt as poor old man lugs her and her vespa through town.
Vespa is currently having new parts put in ($15 for original vespa part and service, bargin!)

(note, I was not on the cyclo just to add weight to the poor man’s task, I actually had to sit on the top of the seat to balance the cyclo and stop it from tipping up in mid air!)
